Dr. Yves Roseus Citizen's Award for Outstanding Service and Advocacy in Occupational Therapy
To provide financial support for occupational therapy students who demonstrate commitment to outstanding service and advocacy in the community and the profession of occupational therapy.
Dr. Yves Roseus, an esteemed York College Alumnus and Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Department of Occupational Therapy, led a life dedicated to service and advocacy. In addition to his dedication to the York College community, he was Senior Occupational Therapist at Brookdale Hospital. He also served on the Roster of Accreditors for ACOTE, and was a Board Member of NYSOTA and NYSBOTC. His commitment to service and advocacy also helped to establish an occupational therapy program in Haiti. The Dr. Yves Roseus Citizen's Award at York College has been established in loving memory of Dr. Roseus's dedication and commitment to service and advocacy. |
Harry S. Truman Foundation candidate must be nominated by the college and be a junior or senior working toward a career in government or public service and show an exemplary community service record.

Levin Scholarship for Excellence in the Sciences
Dr. Eugene Levin (1934-2004), a charter faculty member of York College, was a popular and highly respected Professor of Physics. The Levin family has established the Professor Eugene Levin Scholarship for Excellence in the Science (Levin Scholarship) to honor his memory. The purpose of this scholarship is to provide aid to students who have made a commitment to the sciences.

Consuelo W. Gosnell Memorial Scholarships are awarded to master's degree candidates in social work who have demonstrated a commitment to working with, or who have a special affinity with, American Indian/Alaska Native and Hispanic/Latino populations. Candidates who have demonstrated a commitment to working with public or voluntary nonprofit agencies or with local grassroots groups in the United States are also eligible.

The One York Emergency Relief Fund covers full or partial tuition expenses (not to exceed $2,000) related to a documented critical hardship.
*Emergency-related expenses covered by this fund include those related to the death of a family member, medical expenses, uninsured losses (i.e. stolen property), and hardships from job loss or the job loss of the primary income earner in your household. At this time, we are expanding to address additional needs beyond those related to COVID-19. |
Awarded to an outstanding post-graduate candidate pursuing a doctoral or master’s degree in the field of mental health. The Melanie Foundation was created in 2006 to honor the life and legacy of Melanie Merola O’Donnell, with the mission to foster support for mental health issues. Melanie lived a life of giving, focusing her career on relieving suffering inflicted by mental illness. Melanie died at the age of 33 while in the midst of doctoral studies in psychology. Her family and friends subsequently collaborated to bring The Melanie Foundation to life, with the initial goal of providing scholarships to people who had the best chance of extending Melanie’s legacy.

The York College’s Carroll and Milton Petrie Student Emergency Fund seeks to assist eligible students coping with an unexpected hardship, so that they may continue their education at York College and become financially aware and responsible for their continued education.
This program’s long-range goal is to ensure that enrolled students who encounter temporary financial hardship, be granted financial assistance, and as a result, assist York College students’ retention and graduation rates. The York College Foundation is the distributor of this grant from The Carroll and Milton Petrie Foundation and the co-sponsor of this fund is in collaboration with the Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. |

To support underrepresented students entering or enrolled in behavioral health degree programs across CUNY campuses. Programs are limited to those approved by NYS OMH.
Ethnic and racial minorities are very under-represented in the mental health workforce. In order to address this diversity issue, the Office of Mental Health in partnership with our campus seek to create a seamless pipeline that will attract, retain, and graduate underrepresented students, and students that are multilingual, in the various mental health professions. Applicants must be currently enrolled in SCWK 410 or SCWK 507. Four selected BSW awardee will recieve award for two consecutive years (4 semesters; FA 23, SP 24, FA 24, & SP25) Award Amount: $2,500 Yearly [$1,250.00 FA/ $1,250.00 SP] |
